presentation

Welcome to the Official Development Assistance (ODA) Analysis Tool for Local Entities coordinated by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP).

The objective of this statistical analysis tool is to improve access to information on the actions carried out by Local Entities in the field of Development Cooperation. Both the statistical graphs and the interactive maps act as a virtual window into the reality of Spanish municipal ODA.

We are grateful for the participation and support of the Secretary of State for International Cooperation (SECI) and the Directorate General for Sustainable Development Policies (DGPOLDES), whose support has been fundamental in the implementation of this tool for analysing the ODA of Local Entities.

This summary table of municipal ODA in Spain is a clear example of transparency aimed at a citizenry committed to the 2030 Agenda.

In the same vein, the FEMP wishes to highlight the importance of the work of Local Entities, not only in the management of Development Cooperation projects, but also in their efforts and dedication to data collection and reporting.

Without the information provided voluntarily by Local Governments, it would not have been possible to produce this quantitative information tool on Local Entities' ODA.

what is it?

This dynamic tool allows the user to analyse different types of information and statistical data related to the Official Development Assistance (ODA) of Local Entities in a visual and user-friendly way.

what's it for?

Using maps and graphs, the user will be able to analyse the different characteristics of ODA disbursed by Local Entities, as well as the countries receiving this aid. The main feature of this tool is that it is possible to look at funding directed to each Sustainable Development Goal.

for whom is it intended?

This tool is aimed at all those interested in analysing and comparing the characteristics of Official Development Assistance from Local Entities in Spain: cooperation experts, public administration staff and citizens.

Do you belong to a local government?

Interested Local Governments can also join, during the first quarter of each year, the local humanitarian aid fund: an initiative by FEMP to channel, in a centralized, efficient and transparent manner, the contributions of local entities to respond to international humanitarian emergencies.
